Sparks in the Night at
Port Townsend Film Festival 2010
Ben & family spend the weekend of September 24th in Port
Townsend. The youngest filmmaker at the wonderful
festival, Ben greatly enjoyed talking
with the other filmmakers.
We stay in the beautiful cottage of a local host family.
(This is the downstairs bed. It is below the stairs to a
second floor
studio. Oh yeah, and the photo is up-side-down!)

Saturday brought summer-like weather. Sunday brought a threat
of rain, so Ben carries an umbrella like the British officer in "Bridge Over the
River Kwai".

Sunday morning, the festival interviews a batch of
filmmakers, including Ben, near festival headquarters.

The young publisher of a an independent newspaper interviews
Ben.

Ben talks with Morgan
Dusatko, a Seattle filmmaker who we first met at the filmmaker's reception on
Friday night.

"Sparks in the Night" screened twice as part of the
Reviewer's
Passion program of shorts.

After the screening, the filmmakers answer questions. With
two screenings together (and two parties), the Reviewer's Passion filmmakers get
to know each other.

Back home on the ferry.
